Village Art in Skelmanthorpe has selected Gillie's eye-catching figurative and portrait sculptures as their June 2021 showcase
As curator, xxxxxx explained, " I was introduced to Gillie Nicholls’ work by my oldest friend, novelist Sarah Rayne [sculpture shown above] and I’m extremely grateful for the introduction"
Gillie is the first figurative sculptor they have ever featured. Village Art (Skelmanthorpe) is a project initiated by the friends of Skelmanthorpe Community Library supported and aided by Denby Dale Parish Council. They host seasonal exhibitions showcasing works of local and professional artists. The gallery can be found at 38 Commercial Rd, Skelmanthorpe, Huddersfield HD8 9DA.
